Phantom Creek Estates is located in the heart of the stunning South Okanagan. They are currently seeking an experienced Winery Controller to lead their accounting team. This position may be based in Oliver or their corporate office in Richmond.
The Controller reports to the General Manager and is responsible for the accuracy and timeliness of the accounting and financial reporting function for Phantom Creek. As part of the leadership team, this is a chance to contribute to the growth of a winery dedicated to delivering outstanding wines and memorable wine country experiences.
Specific responsibilities include:
Beyond a CPA designation, and previous senior accounting and leadership experience, the Controller must have led the accounting function in a winery before. Strong inventory and cost accounting knowledge, experience with accounting software including ERPs and a strong business acumen round out the job requirements. Our ideal candidate will have excellent oral and written communication skills, be able to handle multiple conflicting priorities, and enjoy a dynamic and collaborative work environment.
