Our client Always On UPS Systems Canada Inc. is a leader in the design and manufacture of Uninterruptable Power Supplies and related equipment. Their products cater to a global marketplace of renowned companies for emergency lighting, industrial, marine, and other critical backup-power environments.

The new hire will manage projects involving diverse UPS configurations, overseeing the entire process from initiation to completion while ensuring adherence to client specifications and project timelines.

More specifically, responsibilities of this role include:

  • Reviewing and approving technical drawings and data sheets to meet customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Facilitating document control, transmittal processes, and client meetings to define project scope and expectations.
  • Liaising with customers to streamline document control, inspection scheduling, and project milestones.
  • Providing pre-sales technical support, including project proposal assistance, bid development, and cost estimation.
  • Overseeing all stages from procurement to commissioning, serving as the Project Manager for in-house production, documentation, and reporting.
  • Developing and maintaining design documentation for UPS systems and electronic power components, ensuring compliance with specifications and safety standards.
  • Delivering exceptional on-site service, including installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and ongoing remote support.
  • Contributing to production improvements and new product development.

Job requirements

Successful candidate is licensed as professional engineer (P.Eng.) in BC/Canada and experienced in managing complex electrical engineering projects, with solid working knowledge of marine electrical systems, ABS and Lloyds rules.
