Decisive Dividend Corporation (DDC) is seeking a Production Manager for their recently acquired production facility in Merritt! Procore International and Micon Industries became part of DDC’s portfolio in the spring of 2023 and are growing to meet the demand for high-performance radiators for heavy-duty equipment.

Merritt is the gateway to the Interior of British Columbia sitting within 3 hours of 5 international airports and boasting a favourable climate with long days of sunshine in the summer and very little precipitation throughout the year. The quality of life and recreation activities in Merritt are plenty due to the surrounding mountains, forests and hundreds of lakes, and there is excellent access to public services, education, social supports, employment opportunities, and health care for the whole family.

Reporting to the General Manager, the Production Manager is responsible for all aspects of day-to-day operations with a focus on safety, quality, people management and commitment to customers. The Production Manager is responsible for fostering a positive environment where team members are recognized, engaged, and supported with adequate training and development so they can achieve high performance goals.

Further, the Production Manager leads operational excellence by:

  • Planning and managing the production cycle to meet delivery schedules,
  • Ensuring a safe work environment and defining safe work procedures,
  • Resolving production issues,
  • Hiring, training and performance management of team members,
  • Implementing and supporting company policies,
  • Addressing employee complaints and issues in a timely fashion,
  • Ensuring compliance with local and federal regulations,
  • Coordinating activities across departments,
  • Striving for continual improvement in KPIs,
  • Leading by example and upholding high professional standards.

Job requirements

This opportunity might be right for you if you have:

  • Prior supervisory experience in manufacturing or operations,
  • Solid understanding of sheet metal fabrication, processes, and equipment,
  • Commitment to quality workmanship,
  • Drive to develop people and teams,
  • Strong problem-solving skills,
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all kinds of people,
  • Flexibility to work additional hours when demand requires,
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365.
