The Child Advocacy Centre (CAC) project of Kelowna is searching for a Rockstar fundraiser to help guide the future of fundraising for this developing community resource. We are looking for an energetic, outgoing, professional relationship manager to develop an annual programs strategy and build innovative, sustainable fundraising opportunities.

In this role, you will oversee the following:

  • Raise funds to meet (or exceed!) fundraising targets
  • Develop a strong, sustainable foundation for an annual fundraising program
  • Participate in ongoing brainstorming sessions to create new, creative fundraising methods
  • Leverage technology and social media where possible to improve fundraising activities
  • Direct the planning and coordination of fundraising events
  • Analyze the overall performance of events and fundraising activities, ensuring budgets are met and identify cost-saving areas
  • Maintain complete and orderly records of donors and manage regular donor stewardship
  • Build upon existing donor relationships and form new donor relationships
  • Collaborate with other organizations and groups within the community to build partnerships and enhance fundraising activities
  • Develop a strong, diversified grant strategy


We are seeking an individual who is comfortable networking within the community, shaking hands with potential donors, and has the ability to be a professional yet savvy model for the CAC. Our ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • 5+ years working in a non-profit organization in fund development or equivalent experience
  • Exemplary written and verbal communication skills with an outgoing, yet poised personality
  • Self-starter with a passion for working in a collaborative setting
  • Knowledge of research and prospecting techniques
  • Strong organization and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and respond positively to change
  • Grant writing experience considered an asset
  • Valid driver’s license and clean criminal record
