Alpine Helicopters, a Western Canadian leader in the helicopter industry, is currently seeking a diverse Human Resources Manager to champion and lead HR initiatives and provide professional HR support to the team. Identifying opportunities for continual improvement, this position will lead the development of programs, policies, and systems that align with the organization’s strategic objectives. The HR Manager will also:

  • Act as trusted advisor to the management team, coaching and guiding in effective people management and employee performance
  • Anticipate seasonal hiring needs and spearhead effective full-cycle recruitment
  • Manage and maintain employee documentation and personnel files
  • Handle payroll functions including updating and processing employment paperwork
  • Maintain current knowledge of applicable regulations and employment standards including the Employment Equity Act

Requirements

As Alpine Helicopter’s HR Manager, you are not above rolling up your sleeves and participating wherever needed throughout the organization. This position requires a candidate who is comfortable with performing HR and payroll administrative functions, in addition to being a reliable strategic partner for the entire team. To excel in this role, the ability to coach managers through superb communication and interpersonal skills is a must. We are also looking for a candidate who has the following:

  • 5+ years’ experience working as an HR Manager or similar role
  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources with CPHR designation (preferred)
  • Experience in payroll and benefits administration
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
  • Exceptional organizational skills and strong attention to detail
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed to our locations
  • Team-player attitude!
