                                          Our goal is to own and operate 1,000 Net Zero homes by 2024.

This role involves leading four members of our accounting team, reviewing month ends and comparing actuals to budget. You will be responsible for managing cash flows of multiple entities and assisting with monthly financing draws for our projects. You will be a part of an accounting team of six people, reporting to the VP, Finance & Accounting.

CPA designation is required. Experience juggling a significant number of entities, meeting tight deadlines and leading a team are definite assets.

Tasks would include, but are not limited to:

  • Reviewing month ends & consolidating financials
  • Analyzing financial statements
  • Managing year end file preparation
  • Weekly and monthly cash flow projections
  • Reviewing payroll
  • Assisting with securing financing for projects
  • Preparing monthly draw requests
  • Preparing annual investor statements

Required experience:

  • CPA required
  • 5+ years progressive accounting experience
  • 2+ years of full cycle accounting experience
  • Relevant experience within commercial construction industry an asset
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and an accounting software
  • Knowledge of Sage 50 is an asset
