Quality Control Specialist

We are currently seeking a Quality Control Specialist to join our growing team based out of our manufacturing plant near Bridesville, BC. In this role, you will assist the Director of Quality Assurance with ensuring quality standards, policies and procedures are being adhered to by all manufacturing staff. This position will also:

  • Assist with the implementation and communication of all internal and federally regulated quality assurance policies, procedures and programs
  • Monitor quality standards and production processes for all product lines
  • Perform specialized product sampling, testing, and analysis
  • Address and mitigate quality control deficiencies at the plant level
  • Routinely analyze and record product manufacturing details (i.e. temperature, ingredients, etc.)
  • Organize, review and revise documents based on Health Canada and GFSI requirements
  • Conduct regular checks on raw materials and finished products in accordance with BevCanna’s quality standards and the Cannabis Act
  • Actively participate in continuous improvement and coaching on best practices to the beverage manufacturing staff


As you will be participating hands-on at the plant, you have a knack for connecting with individuals to influence positive change. Additionally, exceptional communication skills are a must as this position maintains ongoing progress reports with the Director of QA (whose office is located offsite) and often works in collaboration with the Plant Manager. Other requirements for this role include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in science (food/chemical/biological), engineering or related discipline
  • 2+ years’ experience in a QC or QA role in an environment which manufacturers products for consumption (food, beverage, nutraceutical, etc.)
  • Product development experience is welcomed
  • Knowledge and familiarity with GMP, HACCP, Heath Canada and Food Safety systems
  • Global Food Safety Certification will be highly sought after
  • Proven critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to make decisions and work independently; self-starter
  • Satisfactory criminal record check
  • Ability to work shift work on occasion
  • At least the age of majority
